Pupil Premium
What is Pupil Premium?
Pupil Premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.
Schools receive funding for every child that has qualified for free school meals within the last six years, for children who have a parent within the armed forces and also for looked after children.

Free School Meals
Did you know … just registering for Free School Meals means
that the school gets extra money to help support YOUR child.
It is important that our parents and carers who may have a child(ren) at our school entitled to free school meals register this information with us. With the introduction of the Universal Infant Free School Meal system to all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 parents may feel it is not necessary to apply for free school meals. However, this information is crucial to ensure our school receives the correct funding to support our children’s learning. To help us do this, below is a link to Cumbria County Council website where you can complete and submit an application online or download, print, complete and return. The form is also available on request from the School Office. If you need any support in completing, or want to discuss the form then please don’t hesitate to ask our office team who would be happy to help.
As you will be able to see from our other web pages, the pupil premium is a crucial part of ensuring our children achieve their best both academically and socially.
Please help us ensure our funding for your child is correct.
